DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDRAISING OFFICER, HQ

Mbivnjo Etheldreda Leinyuy is a nurse educator with experience dating back to 2012. In February 2017 she decided to extend her experience beyond the classroom and clinical setting by joining the Association for Community Awareness (ASCOA). She is passionate about preventing diseases and promoting health through health education which is more cost effective and thus relevant for a resource limited setting like Cameroon. This has fueled her interest in Public Health, for which she is pursuing a second master’s degree under the Chevening UK Government Scholarship. She believes that raising awareness enables people to adopt healthy lifestyles, be accountable and responsible for their health. As such, they can avoid the suffering that comes with disease and costly curative approaches. She is the Development and Fundraising Coordinator for ASCOA’s fivefold mission (HIV/AIDS stigma, women empowerment, child support, environmental protection and peace) and doubles as the association’s representative for the United Kingdom.
