I’ve learned and grown in countless ways
With physical opportunities to contribute to the advancement of the global health community limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the experience of serving with the Association of Community Awareness (ASCOA) through the United Nations Online Volunteering platform has been incredible.
In collaboration with ASCOA staff, I have been able to write grants in order to address the health inequalities that this virus has exacerbated in Cameroon. These grants include initiatives to raise community awareness and education levels of COVID-19, increase access to health and sanitation products, and develop programs to combat environmental issues that have arisen due to the pandemic.
I’ve learned and grown in countless ways through this online volunteering experience!
