Each year, the Association for Community Awareness (ASCOA) reaches approximately 1.5 million people through community-focused services and programs. In 2024, over 50 communities benefited from our sustainable development tools—initiatives made possible thanks to the dedication of more than 1,500 volunteers from across the globe. Together, we continue to make a tangible difference where it’s needed most.
A major highlight this year was the 3rd edition of the Cameroon Beach Cleanup Day—an initiative that has removed more than 1,200 tons of waste from Cameroon’s coastline since 2022. This event has become one of the country’s most significant environmental efforts, aimed at keeping beaches clean and protecting marine ecosystems from plastic pollution. For the 2025 edition, ASCOA is setting an ambitious goal: mobilizing 2,500 volunteers in cities like Limbe, Douala, Kribi, and beyond to push back against ocean pollution together.
ASCOA actively seeks new partnerships with organizations, companies, and individuals who share our vision and values, and our commitment to sustainable development, health equity, and environmental protection. These partnerships may take the form of sponsorships, collaborative program delivery, or media support.
Our 2024 efforts also included a wide range of community workshops, as well as an expanded communication and social media outreach strategy designed to amplify awareness and engagement.
