ASCOA (Association for Community Awareness) is a key actor in advancing environmental protection and climate resilience in Cameroon.
Through flagship initiatives such as the Cameroon Beach Cleanup Day, ASCOA mobilizes citizens, particularly youth and school communities to address marine pollution and safeguard coastal ecosystems. The organization also implements reforestation campaigns, climate education programs, and grassroots advocacy to combat deforestation and promote sustainable natural resource management. By fostering environmental literacy and local ownership, ASCOA is cultivating a culture of climate responsibility and strengthening community resilience in the face of global environmental challenges.
